So K-Pop

Get to Know Us

So K-Pop was founded in 2012 by UC Davis alumni Trang Nguyen. So K-Pop was created to culturally and socially connect with those interested in K-pop and Korean culture. This idea still holds true to this day, where we hold weekly meetings and socials to make friends and have fun.

President

Helen

As President, Helen is in charge of overseeing So K-Pop.

Vice President

Tay

Tay is a 2nd year double majoring in Japanese and Managerial Economics.

Favorite group: G-Idle "however I'm kind of an old soul in the sense of I listen to a lot of second gen groups."

Fact: I'm currently very excited for the upcoming G-Idle comeback.

Secretary

Janet Chen

Janet is a 2nd year student majoring in Chinese with an interest in business.

Favorite group: NCT & ZB1

Fact: I was lucky to see Ricky and Matthew up close at their KCON guest panel. They looked so ethereal and glossy irl!

Intern Secretary

Ivan

Ivan is a 3rd year Environmental Science & Management major.

Favorite group: Astro (hi fellow Arohas), Enhypen, STAYC, Cherry Bullet, TVXQ!, and Cravity!

Fact: I’m really looking forward to STAYC’s first concert tour as well as VAV’s 😩☝🏽🫶🏽

As a Treasurer, Ava's role is to manage So K-Pop's finances to ensure that all events are possible.
